Early X-mas

About a week ago my mother decided to call an orphanage in the south side of Laredo and book a visit to give the less fortunate kids some left over shoes and toys we had at the warehouse. Today was the day and at around 6 p.m. we picked up ten pizzas and loaded up the truck with the goods.

As we were getting there we see the group of kids walking out of the dorms with some nuns and my sister Tracy starts to get a bit emotional.

We walked into the dinning hall and labeled the gifts. I cracked some jokes about my calender I had gotten last year called "Nuns Having Fun". Tracy said "oh cmon not now"

Dago's tooth fell out and I starting hassling him about how his teeth will never grow back. Always an interesting topic with him and my parents telling me to knock it off.

As kids starting coming into the room I realized each had their story. From being abandoned to drug addict parents who probably cared more about drugs. Some might not even have parents. Some parents couldn't afford to have em under the same roof, whatever the story is, it's quite sad And it's true "Someone else always has it worse".

We fed the kids. Served pizza and some Capri Sun juice and started calling up kids to get their gifts. Kids were smiling and some even started to put on their new pair of shoes right away.

Some little girl called me Santa Clause even tho I was dressed in normal gear.

After everyone had gotten their gifts the younger kids ran up to Tracy and I. They thanked us and hugged us.
It felt good but I know I'm not a hero.

If you have anything you can donate, I urge you to do it.
There's some kids out there who aren't getting what they truly deserve.
This is the reason I'm not a huge fan of these holidays.

Here's the information:
Sacred Heart Children's Home

Google it for more information or just call. You wont regret it.

Some pictures I took tonight:

The infamous "Asshole child"
(he tried to punch me in the balls today)

Enjoy.
